It's that time of year again; time to stock up on your favorite brands of hair products. Beauty Brands is having their annual liter sale on shampoo and conditioner. If you received the flyer, it only states that the sale applies to shampoo but it also applies to conditioner. Trust me, I made that mistake last year, and it won't ever happen again.

Reader Mail: Tips for Relaxing Natural Hair
Reader F.R. posed the following question on my Facebook Page: "Do you have any suggestions for someone going from natural to texlax/relax?
My first suggestion is to reevaluate why you want to get a relaxer. Is it for the style versatility (i.e. being able to wear straight hair without reversion)? If so, then you can always blow dry and flat iron natural hair, and have it look straight as if you had a relaxer. Plus, with the right products, you can avoid your hair reverting back to its curly state. Are you prepared for the relaxer upkeep (touch-up, dealing with two textures, etc.). Relaxed hair is prone to higher levels of breakage and damage than natural hair, so it requires special considerations.

Huetiful Hair Steamer
A representative from Huetiful contacted me about doing a review on their Huetiful Hair Steamer! I was very excited that they wanted to hear my opinion, so I agreed to use the steamer and post a video review. I just received the steamer and will use it this weekend when I wash my hair.

Flower Power!
My family is hilarious, crazy, and loads of fun all wrapped up into one. We are big on themed parties and everyone really gets into character for themed events. Today, we had a 70s inspired birthday party for my uncle.
