Update: Neutrogena T/Sal Shampoo

My scalp is behaving well considering that it has been 2 weeks since my last wash day. As a reminder, I didn't get to wash my hair last weekend because of my birthday plans.

In the past, if I wait more than 7-10 days to wash my hair, my scalp goes crazy. The issue seems to have worsened with me wearing a helmet to ride, because I sweat under the helmet. On the other hand, the exercise helps to promote healthy growth.

Ideally, I would love to co-wash after my riding lesson and then do a regular wash on the weekend. But the time needed to dry and style my hair is too demanding for a mid week co-wash.

The Neutrogena T-Sal Shampoo I reviewed has lived up to its promise to prevent scalp build up. Just to be safe, I'll use it for my first wash this weekend and then resume my usual wash day routine.

Has anyone else missed a wash day this week? Or was I the only "delinquent" one? (smile)

Follow Up: Taming 10 Weeks of New Growth

The scarf method was a bust because it slipped off at some point in the night. So my edges were not tamed by any stretch of the imagination. I didn't tie the scarf tightly because it would give me a headache. Yet, I'm a crazy sleeper, so the scarf didn't stand a chance of staying on. I did cover it with my bonnet, and I hoped the bonnet would help. It didn't.

As for the bantu knots, they came out so-so. The knots didn't set well because my hair was so dirty and weighted down. However, my roots were nice and soft from the Sta-Sof-Fro.

This is not the best picture but I was running late and didn't have time to retake it.

Taming 10 Weeks of New Growth

10 weeks of new growth

With all of the birthday festivities this past weekend, including my sister's surprise visit, the last thing on my mind was washing my hair. I need to do something to make my hair presentable tomorrow, so I'm trying out the scarf method to smooth out my new-growth and some bantu knots for a quick style.
